William
Sascha
Riley

A decorated U.S. Army veteran with 21 years of service and three tours in Iraq came forward with documented allegations of childhood abuse. They filed a police report. They gave testimony. What they received in return was a gatekeeper who built a platform on their story — and abandoned them the moment they were about to speak independently.

Why This Matters

A survivor failed twice.

First, Sascha Riley was failed by the institutions that should have protected them as a child — and later, as an adult veteran who had the courage to file a police report and ask for investigation. Second, they were failed by the person who took their testimony, built a global platform on it, and then dropped them days before their first mainstream media appearance — citing a "safety misalignment" that only appeared at the exact moment Sascha was about to speak outside her control.

Survivor credibility should not depend on gender, on how someone came forward, or on who vouches for them. Sascha is a veteran whose military service is documented, whose police report has been confirmed by law enforcement on record, and whose account has had no claims independently disproven. That deserves investigation, not dismissal.

The Narrative Recovery Initiative holds that space while the institutions catch up.

About

William Sascha Riley

U.S. Army Veteran · Survivor · They / Them

Biographical Record

William Sascha Riley was born Manuel Sascha Barros in June 1973 in Germany. They were adopted in 1977 by William Kyle Riley — a licensed pilot whose credentials have been independently verified through the FAA Aviation Database — and Irene Riley, née Liske. Sascha has described Irene as loving and kind. WKR and Irene divorced shortly after the adoption, and WKR remarried just 54 days later — confirmed by Texas marriage records.

Sascha served in the United States Army for over 21 years across two enlistments: 1991 to 1998, and again from 2002 to 2016. During their second enlistment they completed three tours of duty in Iraq and sustained blast-related injuries. Their DD-214 — the military discharge document — was provided to Snopes, which confirmed its authenticity. A veteran colleague who reviewed it said: "You can tell that's an individual that acts with valor."

In 2022, Sascha filed a police report with the Lawton Police Department in Oklahoma. Detective Donald Pauley confirmed on record that the report was filed and forwarded to OSBI Agent Adamson due to jurisdictional scope. Sascha's former spouse independently confirmed this to researcher Sue Selle.

In July 2025, Sascha gave six recorded telephone interviews totaling over four hours to Lisa Noelle Voldeng. Those recordings were published on November 23, 2025 and went viral globally. On March 10, 2026 — days before Sascha's scheduled first mainstream media appearance on MSNOW — Voldeng publicly withdrew her support, citing a "safety misalignment." No substantive explanation was offered for the timing.

"He's noble. He tries to be noble. If that's not a show of great character, I don't know what is — after all of that. Twenty-two years. You served your country."

Veterans advocate, quoted by Don Lemon, referencing Sascha's service record

Sascha uses they/them pronouns. They are currently living outside the United States. They have been consistent in their account across multiple hours of recorded testimony, have asked for institutional investigation, and have had no claims independently disproven by any research conducted to date.

A Note on Framing

Sascha's testimony contains graphic allegations about named individuals. Those allegations are presented here as Sascha's account — not as established fact. What is presented as fact is independently corroborated: military service, police report, pilot credentials, CSAM investigation. The distinction is held throughout this site.

Setting the Record Straight

Fact vs. Fiction

Specific misinformation circulating about Sascha Riley — addressed with the documented record.

❌ Fiction

"Sascha Riley doesn't exist. This is a fabricated person."

✓ Fact

Sascha Riley is a verified real person. Background checks through Intelius and PublicRecords.us confirm the name, address history, and public records. DD-214 confirmed by Snopes.

Sue Selle / Substack; Snopes, January 2026

❌ Fiction

"The story has been debunked."

✓ Fact

No claim in Sascha's account has been independently disproven. Snopes labeled the recordings "unverified" — meaning not yet confirmed, not that claims are false. Unverified and debunked are not the same word.

Snopes; Sue Selle, January 2026

❌ Fiction

"No police report was ever filed."

✓ Fact

Detective Donald Pauley of Lawton PD confirmed on record that Sascha filed a report in 2022 and that he forwarded it to OSBI Agent Adamson. Sascha's former spouse independently confirmed this.

JustDesi / Threads; Sue Selle / Substack

❌ Fiction

"Sascha's adoptive father wasn't a pilot."

✓ Fact

WKR's FAA credentials are verified. He received the FAA Master Pilot Award in November 2020 and was contracted as medevac helicopter pilot for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.

FAA Aviation Database; AtAMomentsNotice.com

❌ Fiction

"Sascha was never in the military."

✓ Fact

Sascha's DD-214 was confirmed by Snopes. 21+ years of service, two enlistments, three Iraq tours. This is not in dispute.

Snopes, January 23, 2026

❌ Fiction

"Voldeng walked away because the story fell apart."

✓ Fact

Voldeng withdrew days before Sascha's scheduled mainstream media appearance — the moment they were about to speak independently. No new factual contradictions in Sascha's account were presented. Troy Barile documented this pattern in "The Woman in the Middle."

Troy Barile, thefalloutwithtbs.substack.com

❌ Fiction

"Sascha's story hurts other survivors."

✓ Fact

Survivors are not obligated to come forward through a specific format, gender, or approved channel. Dismissing one survivor's account signals to every survivor that the bar for being believed is impossible.

❌ Fiction

"The CSAM story was invented."

✓ Fact

1st Sgt. Michael R. Balis confirmed to Sue Selle that a soldier was found with CSAM around 2008–09. The Denver Post independently documented the arrest of two Fort Carson soldiers on child pornography charges in May 2009.

People Doing the Work

Ordinary people with research skills who decided to look — and found things that deserve wider attention.

Sascha Riley's case has attracted serious independent researchers who have done something the mainstream media largely hasn't: they looked at the verifiable claims and checked them one by one. These are not activists promoting a narrative. They are people with research skills and the discipline to follow the evidence.

None of their findings have disproven any element of Sascha's account. Several have corroborated specific claims that Sascha had no way to fabricate — the pilot credentials, the marriage timeline, the Fort Carson investigation, the police report. The documented record continues to hold.

Take Action

Contact Congress

Documented pressure is one of the few mechanisms that can compel institutions to act on a case like this.

The most effective submissions cite specific documented facts: the confirmed police report (Lawton PD, Detective Pauley, 2022), the military CSAM investigation (1st Sgt. Balis confirmation, Fort Carson 2008–09), the Denver Post arrest record (May 2009), and the DD-214 confirmed by Snopes. When you submit, name the documents. A submission that cites specifics is taken more seriously than a general complaint.

If you are outside the United States, you can still contact congressional offices on matters within their committee jurisdiction. You may also contact your own government's relevant agencies asking them to take the case seriously at an international level.
